Editorial Policy

How The Finance Herald reports: primary sourcing, fact-checking, editorial independence from advertisers, corrections, and why nothing we publish is investment advice.

The Finance Herald publishes news and analysis on global markets, business deals, technology, energy and healthcare. This policy explains how our editorial coverage is produced and how it is kept separate from sponsored content.

What we cover

Our editorial coverage focuses on the companies, transactions, earnings, policy decisions and market trends that move the global economy. Articles are written to explain what happened, why it matters and what investors and business readers may want to watch next.

Accuracy and sourcing

  • We base reporting on primary sources wherever possible: company filings, earnings releases, regulatory announcements, official statements and public data.
  • Figures, dates and quotations are checked against their source before publication.
  • Where a story relies on reporting from another outlet, we say so.
  • Analysis and interpretation are presented as such and are kept distinct from reported facts.

Independence

Editorial coverage is not paid for. Companies cannot buy, review or approve editorial articles before they are published, and advertisers have no say over what our editorial team covers or how.

Sponsored content is always clearly labeled. See our Sponsored Content Policy for more information.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we correct it. Material corrections are made to the article itself and, where the change affects the substance of the story, noted in the article. Readers who spot an error can let us know through the contact details on our About page.

Not investment advice

Nothing published on The Finance Herald is investment, legal or tax advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any security. Readers should do their own research and consult a qualified adviser before making investment decisions.
